Report: A young Rodmersham team enjoyed a friendly Friendly against Linton Park, nearly 500 runs scored in a closely contested draw. 
The visitors chose to bat first and found the early going difficult, losing their first four wickets with only 8 runs on the board. However, a powerful century from Boyns with good support from Knowler ensured a more respectable looking 237 all out at tea.
The Rodmersham response got off to an excellent start, Matt Kemp making a fine maiden half century in a opening stand of 77. Thereafter, runs continued to come easily with good contributions from Matt Baker, Chris Ansley and Liam Ansley especially. In the end, though, the home side were to finish 3 runs short at the close with 9 wickets down
