Report: Rodmersham were asked to bat first at Chapel Meadow on Sunday and immediately set about compiling a formidable 269-8 from their 40 overs. Skipper Darren Nokes and Liam Ansley both blasted half centuries, Chris Ansley fired a quick 45 and Dan Pumfrett comfortably built an unbeaten 31 to set the home side quite a challenge.
The home response was always focussed less on victory and more on securing a batting point which they duly achieved in the final over to finish the match on 170-6, two wickets apiece for Chris Ansley and Ben Driscoll
