Report: Rodmersham's young side were asked to field first on another hot afternoon at Bottles Lane and saw the visitors patiently build a score of 207-2 from their 40 overs. However, on an excellent batting surface and with a quick outfield this always looked some way short of a par score.
The reply was emphatic as skipper Darren Nokes with a half century (59) and 17 year old Chris Ansley with his maiden ton (101 not out) took full advantage of a poor visiting attack to blast their team home with 10 overs in hand, Ansley and Matt Jewiss sharing an unbroken stand of 93 in the process.
