Report: Over 520 runs were scored in the sunshine at Bottles Lane on Sunday in a superb match between two friendly teams.
Rodmersham opted to bat first and rattled up a massive 264-4 from their 40 overs, skipper Darren Nokes making 97, James Beech and Matt Godden both firing half-centuries.
In reply, Cowdrey's Will Needham helped himself to a fine 85 as an unexpected victory looked to be on. However, Rodmersham rallied to take the last 6 wickets for 28 runs, the final wicket falling with the visitors an agonising 3 short. All in all though, a fine game played in excellent spirits.
