Report: Rodmersham opened their KVL season with a thrilling 6 run victory, the final wicket being taken with only a ball to spare.
Opting to bat first, the home side failed to bat their full allocation but still posted a respectable 180 thanks to a maiden half century from 16 year old Josh Hopson, 48 from opener James Beech and 33 from Matt Jewiss in his first match on return from Uni.
In reply, Harrietsham looked on course for the win before a remarkable climax which saw them lose their last four wickets inside 13 balls, Jewiss grabbing three of them to finish with 5-24
