Report: Bottom side Cowdrey opted to bat first at Bottles Lane and after finding themselves two down with only 30 on the board, looked to be heading for a mammoth total as their skipper fired a fine half century in a third wicket stand of 106. However, scoring slowed in the second half of the innings and the target set of 230 for victory always seemed 50 or 60 short on a good wicket with fast outfield. Michael Willis bowled superbly to take 4-47, the remaining wickets shared between Messrs Blackwell, Jewiss and Pumfrett.
The response from the home side was measured and in the end, comfortable. Skipper Jamie Horne lead from the front and continued his excellent recent form with a sublime 91 and with Lee Jackson firing 56, Dan Pumfrett 20 and Dan Ansley 28 (from 12 balls!) a home win never really looked to be in doubt
