Report: Rodmersham 1s made certain of their Division 4 safety with a comfortable win at OD CUACO and can now look forward to preparing for a better attempt at promotion in 2011.
The home side were asked to bat first and found the going tough against a tidy Rodmersham attack for whom Darren Nokes (4-24) and Matt Jewiss (3-31) were especially impressive. With 7 catches taken too OD CUACO were dismissed for 172 inside 47 overs.
The response got off to a typically brisk start but for the loss of 4 wickets with only 36 on the board. However, a stand of 67 between Dave Cogger and Rob Horne steadied the ship and Horne went on to record a fine 66 in leading his team to within sight of victory leaving Nokes to knock off the winning runs
