Report: Rodmersham 1s were admittedly missing six regular players but that can't excuse a poor batting display, culminating in another disappointing defeat.
In the field the visitors performed well, Chris Ansley the pick of the bowlers and skipper Nick Denly taking three excellent catches before some late order hitting dragged the Rainham score to 177, a total which seemed a long way off at the 40 over mark.
In response, Rodmersham got off to a sound start reaching 40-odd for none after 15 overs. However, they were undone by the leg spin of Burns and the off spin of Robinson and collapsed to a miserable 106 all out inside 34 overs, poor judgment and shot selection proving fatal.
There's only one way for Rodmersham 1s to go from here, starting next week at home to OD CUACO.
