Gore Court looked set for a challenging score with the total at 155 for 4 after 30 overs. However the final 10 overs only yielded 27 runs and they were restricted to 182 for 8 thanks primarily to leg spinner Tom Roach who returned the excellent figures of 5 for 33 from 8 overs.
The Rodmersham response was always ahead of the required run rate and with the score standing at 102 for 2 after 20 overs Piet Botha(95) and Neil Barton(46*) knocked off the remaining requirement of 81 runs from only 6.3 overs to record a resounding 7 wicket victory.
