A delayed start due to wet weather reduced this game to a 78 over match with bowlers limited to a maximum 12 overs. (Notwithstanding this, D Lloyd (Snr) of Upchurch bowled 13 overs!)
Rodmersham won the all important toss and asked Upchurch to bat. For the most part the Upchurch batsmen struggled against good bowling in difficult conditions and despite a fourth wicket partnership of 56 could only muster 130 for 9 from their 39 over allocation. Outstanding with the ball for Rodmersham was Jacques Prinsloo who took 6 for 37 from 12 overs and provided wicketkeeper Liam Foster with three stumpings.
The Rodmersham response was lead by skipper Trevor Jackson who dominated the innings with 98* in 96 balls to set up an eight wicket victory with two overs to spare.
