A sporty pitch and a slow outfield ensured a low scoring game and some outstanding bowling figures whilst batsmen struggled unsuccessfully to come to terms with the conditions.
Rodmersham showed the virtue of occupying the crease for their full 20 over allocation when they posted the creditable score of 72 for 9wkts. Excellent bowling figures were returned by C Bond (3 for 5 in 4 overs) and Chris Barnes (3 for 13 in 4 overs).
Bapchild were soon reduced to 15 for 4 thanks primarily to a fine spell of bowling by Tom Bryant (3 for 8 in 4 overs). Better was yet to come. Lee Foster celebrated his 14th birthday by mesmerising the remaining batsmen with his off spin, taking 5 for 11 in 3 overs to give Rodmersham a 22 run victory.
