On a pitch of disappointing quality Rodmersham struggled to 125 all out in 49.3 overs. Only Steve Day (38) and Richard Cooper (22) had any success as the remaining batsmen failed to combat the unpredictable bounce. For Bapchild, veterans Barry Wood (3 for 13) and Roy Lincoln (2 for 15) made the most of the bowler friendly conditions.
Bapchild's response was lead by Lee Taylor who made a mockery of the conditions scoring an excellent 60 from 58 balls to give his Club a comfortable 5 wicket victory. Veteran Tony Bond, introduced too late to make a difference, was by far Rodmersham's best bowler taking 2 wickets for no runs in 4 overs.
