Rodmersham lost this closely fought contest on the penultimate ball of the match.

Whilst Rodmersham scored an impressive 240 for 3 from their 50 overs, there was concern that they had only scored 50 runs from the final 10 overs despite ideal batting conditions. Openers Dave Cogger(50) and Piet Botha(91) gave the home side an excellent start and were well supported by Colin Mason(64*)

Concern that the Rodmersham score was under par proved well founded as Offham applied pressure to the home attack and by dint of good running and solid batting down the order achieved the victory target with one ball to spare for a well deserved victory. Neil Scott(50 in 55 balls) took the Offham batting honours.
