Rodmersham recorded their third consecutive Kent League victory on Saturday.
New Ash Green elected to bat first and struggled on a pitch of variable bounce and a well grassed outfield. Rodmersham bowled tightly, restricting their opponents to 50 for 4 after 25 overs which was extended to 140 for 8 from their 50 over allocation.
The Rodmersham batsmen showed far greater enterprise than their opponents achieving the victory target of 141 for the loss of only 2 wickets in 30.4 overs to record a comfortable 8 wicket victory. Once again Pete Botha(78*) shone with the bat ably assisted by skipper Colin Mason(43).
