Rodmersham batted first and posted the challenging total of 218 for 8 from their 50 overs. Opener Peter Day (57) lead the way with good support from the middle and lower order.
The Chislehurst response suffered an early setback when they lost their first three wickets for 35 after 20 overs. A period of consolidation saw them progress to 109 for 5 after 40 overs. In a desperate effort to buy wickets Rodmersham offered easy runs but this was to no avail as A Lucas (69*) and R Deller(12*) refused to be budged and denied victory.
