Rodmersham elected to bat first and scored 201 for 7 despite losing their first wicket without a run on the board. Colin Mason(76) and Dave Cogger(50) put on 124 for the second wicket and the middle order ensured that maximum batting points were achieved.
Offham suffered an early setback when they were reduced to 45 for 4 from22 overs. Neil Scott (58) and Neil Willis (31) then set about retrieving the situation but with the score at 117, a further 4 wickets fell for 8 runs. The last pair managed to bat out the final 8 overs and deny Rodmersham victory. 14 year old Daniel Mason took three outstanding catches to help Piet Botha to the impressive figures of 6 for 59 from 22 overs.
