A closely fought match resulted in victory for Rodmersham thanks primarily to 15 year old Neil Hodkinson displaying great maturity in guiding his side to victory with a fine innings of 43 not out. Old Elthamians scored steadily, posting a total of 189 for 8 from their 50 over allocation. M Smith top scored with 62 and pick of the Rodmersham bowlers was senior pro Mick Lidstone with 2 for 28 from 13 overs.
A predominately young Rodmersham batting line up set about achieving the target of 190 with great confidence.However, at 90 for 5 the result looked in doubt but Kanul Patel (21) joined Neil Hodkinson to put Rodmersham back on course for Victory.
