Rodmersham failed to achieve victory in their final League Match and are relegated, together with Catford Wanderers, to Division 3 of the Forester Kent League.

Rodmersham's bowlers gave their customary exemplary performance in dismissing Holmesdale for 146.Indeed were it not for an excellent rescue act by Simpson (64) the visitors total would have been embarrassingly low. Bowlers Lee Gregory (4for34), Chris Whitehead (2 for66) and Glyn Davies (4 for24) were doubtless pleased with their performance which left Rodmersham with the relatively easy task of scoring 147 for victory from 53 overs.

The less said about Rodmersham's attempt to achieve this modest total the better. Suffice it to say that they collapsed from 60 for 3 to 106 all out in the space of ten overs as batsmen surrendered their wickets to a surprised but grateful opposition. Unfortunately this has been an all too familiar feature of Rodmersham's batting this season and is the prime reason for their relegation to Division 3.
