Rodmersham’s under 16’s cruised to an impressive win on Monday, beating Sheldwich by 112 runs. Batting first, Rodmersham had a steady start with good knocks from Andrew Drury, Richard Piesley and Michael Jones. This opened the way for Neil Barton(44) and Tom Munden to crash the ball to all parts of the ground. Neil Barton’s innings included 4 massive sixes and only the Colts Manager patrolling the car park enabled the vehicles to leave with windscreens intact. Sheldwich’s innings quickly fell apart to the accurate bowling attack the pick of which were Darren Nokes 3for 11 and James Henley with a superb 5 for 3
