Rodmersham continued their unbeaten run this season by becoming this year's Swale Under 16 League Winners when they beat Gore Court by 12 runs. Rodmersham won the toss and decided to bat. A superb knock by Andrew Drury (51 no) supported by Richard Piesley (46), Michael Jones (28) and Neil Barton (17 no) left the villagers finishing up with a score of 149 for 2 off 20 overs. In reply Rodmersham's bowlers immediately caused problems for Gore Court's batsmen, the pick of which was opening bowler Neil Barton, bowling a hat trick, dismissing the early batsmen, and at one stage the home side were 23 for 4. The other bowlers also performed well with Richard Piesley taking 1 for 20, James Henley 2 for 21 and Kevin Jones 1 for 28. Gore Court fought back well and despite good knocks by Ross Savin (34) and Alex Taylor (47) could not manage the total required.
